Helpful Hints

  • Notice that the height of the fabric strip for the pleated insertion is grouped into sizes. Depending on the size, you may find that you have a little more fabric than is needed for the smocked insertion. This extra fabric can be trimmed away as you prepare to tie the pleater threads or after the smocking is completed.

  • Keep in mind that the smocked insertion needs to match the yoke template.
