Cozy Johnny

Colder days require cozy outfits. Sewing with a soft flannel and self-lining the long romper create a perfect choice for keeping your favorite little one warm. This tutorial shows you how to make a few sweet changes to make Children's Corner Johnny for a little girl. Pictured is a blouse made from the Children's Corner Allie.
Supplies
Children’s Corner Johnny pattern 1/4” Elastic – 1/2 yard Swiss Edging – 1/3 yard
Construction
1. Construct following Johnny instructions through step 8.
2. Use the Puffy Pocket tutorial as the guide to add pockets, after step #1 lay the white eyelet flat across the top of the pocket pattern piece and stitch across the top and down the sides with a scant ¼” seam.

3. Continue to step #2 of “Finishing the Crotch” section.
4. Before you continue to step #3, stitch a 3/8” casing at the bottom of each leg. Start and stop the casing 1” from the inseam line.
5. Cut 2 pieces of 1/4” wide elastic. Run the elastic through the casing, using a safety pin or bodkin. Secure elastic at both ends of casing.

6. Repeat with the other leg.

3. Continue to step #1 of “Finishing the Crotch” section.
4. After you have stitched but before closing the small hole in the crotch seam, stitch a 3/8” casing at the bottom of each leg. Start and stop the casing 1” from the inseam line.
5. Cut 2 pieces of 1/4” wide elastic. Run the elastic through the casing, using a safety pin or bodkin. Secure elastic at both ends of casing.
6. Repeat with the other leg and whip stitch the opening by hand.
